CARDIFF

The welsh capital has recently seen large scale reinvestment and is now the home of the welsh parliment.It has a good arts and music scene. There is a University and several colleges in the city so the city has a good sized student population. This means y ou can have a good night out without breaking the bank.

Places of interest include Cardiff Castle and The National Museum and Gallery of Wales.Cardiff is home to the millenium Stadium, current home for football's F.A.Cup. Shoppimh is good with most major stores and some boutiques - including a great 70's clothing store. Part of the main shopping area is a pedestrian zone there are lots of good cafes, bars and restaurants in both the city centre and in Cardiff Bay.

There is both a YHA and a Backpackers in the city. The YHA is situated in Roath as are most of the students - so if you are missing the student life head to the Claude Pub ( has a simialr feel to Newcastle's Hancock pub.)
